Asbestos cancer compensation scheme is ‘too limited and too late’
A scheme to pay mesothelioma victims compensation where the employers’ liability insurance cannot be traced will not come into play for two years and does not cover asbestosis, pleural thickening and asbestos-related lung cancer – half of those suffering an asbestos related disease.
