Come and join us at our AGM on the11th December
London Hazards Centre Annual General Meeting
Tuesday 11th December at 6:00pm
GMB Offices, 22 Stephenson Way Euston NW1 2HD (3-minute walk from Euston Square Station)
Nearly 9,500 Londoners die prematurely each year due to long-term exposure to air pollution. Tackling the capital’s illegal pollution levels will be the main theme for the meeting.
Hear from some top-billing speakers:
Rosamund Kissi-Debrah – campaigner and mother of Ella Kissi-Debrah – whose death aged 9 is being linked to illegal levels of air pollution
Helen Lynn – Alliance for Cancer Prevention – campaigning to reduce preventable cancer by calling for recognition of environmental and occupational risk factors.
Andrew Simms – Coordinator of the Rapid Transition Alliance, Assistant Director of Scientists for Global Responsibility, author and fellow of the New Economics Foundation
Dan Shears – GMB National Health and Safety Officer – “laws are great but only strong membership in the workplace can make sure bosses deal with risks, provide protective clothing and good working practices”
Please join us after the meeting for a bite to eat and drink to chat about next steps for the New Year. We look forward to seeing you.
