Health and Safety Courses
London Hazards Centre courses are aimed at people interested or involved
in workplace or community health and safety. Our trainers draw on experience
of advising and supporting safety representatives and voluntary organisations
to provide practical training which you can apply in the workplace.
Below is our current programme of one day courses.
Introduction to Workplace Health and Safety (10am to 4pm)
£65 per delegate
Next Courses
Thurs. 25th Oct 2007 and Thursday 1st Nov 2007
The course covers, sources and forms of occupational harm and ill-health,
employer duties, hazard identification and risk assessment. Participants
learn how to identify hazards and to reduce or eliminate the risk associated
with them and gain a firm grounding in applying the basics of health and
safety law in the workplace.
Introduction to Risk Assessment (10am to 4pm)
£65 per delegate

Tues. 30 October and Tues. 6th Nov 2007
The course focuses on meeting the legal requirements of the Management
of Health and Safety at Work Regulations and incorporates a practical
exercise. The course also covers employers' and employees' legal duties,
the provision of information and training, welfare requirements, hazards
identification and important related regulations.

If you have a number of people to train, or our programme doesn't suit
you, we can design and run training for you at the Centre or your own
site. We run local courses with several voluntary service councils and
local authorities. Topics we teach include VDU assessment, chemicals,
construction, asbestos, and stress. Call us to discuss your needs.
