Urgent Action: Stand up for health and safety at work – no more cuts to HSE

PCS and Prospect members who work for the HSE will be staging a lunchtime protest on Thursday against further cuts to be announced by George Osborne in his Comprehensive Spending Review.

HSE is braced for another round of cuts on top of the 35% cut already being implemented – further hollowing out the organisation.

The relentless attacks by government ministers, most famously David Cameron’s ‘kill off the health and safety monster” speech, the pay freeze and pension cuts are causing a major crisis of morale within HSE. The ability of HSE to regulate health and safety at work and to hold negligent employers to account is being systematically undermined.

Supporters and trade union activists are welcome to join us to make our voices heard.
